As a grief professional, you touch the lives of grieving families in ways that you may never know. From this compassionate vantage point, you see the confusion, pain and stress that families experience. Most are rarely prepared for their loved one’s death experience or the process that immediately follows. Given this difficult phase, you may be looking for new resources that can offer support, comfort, and compassionate after-care to your grieving families.
With this in mind, I invite you to consider The Grief Interlude SeriesTM that was lovingly created with deep compassion and a strong desire to assist others on their grief journey by offering gentle reminders that in the midst of loss, there is love and remembrance.
Given that guided meditations are used in the set, this may offer families a new approach to their self-care during the grief process, and provide you with something a bit different than the standard pamphlets and books as part of your after-care program. Many times those who are grieving are unable to focus on reading for any length of time; so, the ability to simply sit back, relax, and listen to the comforting meditations may provide an atmosphere that can foster a brief respite from grieving. We believe that this set may enhance the listener’s ability to reduce tension and stress, restore inner calm and improve coping skills while grieving. By introducing your families to this set, they may better care for themselves during their grief journey while remembering their loved one.
The series is a set of four audio CD’s designed for use during the first year of grieving; the first track one each CD shares thoughts from a personal grieving experience at various intervals. The second track is a guided meditation offering a wonderfully peaceful interlude from the grieving process. The meditations are woven with music selected to complement the sentiments expressed.
- “Amidst the Tears” is designed for those who have recently lost a loved one.
- “Walking the Labyrinth of Grief” has been created for those who have been grieving for a few months and are dealing with the reality of their loss each day.
- “At the Edge of Midnight Lies a New Dawn” is for those who have dealt with their loss for many months and brings the message that at some point in grieving, hope awaits.
- “Blessed” offers the perspective those who have traveled the path of grief for some time know–a feeling of being blessed by having shared love. It’s designed for those who are beginning to feel blessed for their love and memories amidst their grief.
The set has been designed to be used in a couple of different ways. The entire set can be gifted to the family at time of loss, or it can be used as part of your family after-care program during the first year following the loss. This gives bereavement specialists an opportunity to assist the family with meaningful tools at various intervals during a follow-up program.
Your logo and contact information can be branded on the package sleeve to serve as a reminder to the family of your compassionate care. Transmittal letters containing expressions of your ongoing concern can be furnished to the families to accompany the CD’s as well.
